Jerry Eze Foundation gives $3,000 grants to 240 businesses
In 2026 the Jerry Eze Foundation, linked to Streams of Joy and NSPPD, gave 240 Nigerian entrepreneurs $3,000 each, a total of $720,000 or more than ₦1 billion, with KPMG choosing the beneficiaries.
Pastor Jerry Eze leads Streams of Joy International and hosts the online prayer programme New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD). He has made support for small businesses a regular part of his public charity work. In 2026 the Jerry Eze Foundation ran a business grant round in which professional services firm KPMG selected 240 beneficiaries, according to ThisDay in April 2026. Vanguard, Punch and The Guardian later reported the payout. Each recipient got US$3,000, a total of US$720,000, which the coverage put at more than ₦1 billion at the exchange rate then. The grants were meant to help people start, grow or restructure small businesses. Earlier rounds were smaller. A Guardian report in September 2024 said Eze marked his birthday that year with ₦100 million in grants to young entrepreneurs and 18 houses for widows. Secondary reports also describe a 2025 round planned at US$300,000 for 100 entrepreneurs and later expanded to 175 recipients. That 2025 round has not been confirmed in the major outlets reviewed and is left out of the headline figure. Naira equivalents depend on the exchange rate on the day, so the dollar amounts are the more reliable measure.
