Celebration Church opens free Propella School in Ibadan
Celebration Church International, led by Apostle Emmanuel Iren, launched Propella Schools, a fully free primary school in Ibadan, on 15 September 2025, enrolling 62 pupils on day one.
Celebration Church International (CCI), founded by Apostle Emmanuel Iren, launched Propella Schools on 15 September 2025 at its Celebr8 Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State. It was the church's first free school. Propella started with Primary 1 to 4 for children from low-income families. The church says it pays for tuition, textbooks and workbooks, stationery, extracurricular activities, examination fees, ICT training and clinic services, and gives each child a uniform and school bag. Enrolment figures vary. TheCable and The Nation reported that 62 pupils were enrolled and equipped on the first day, while Apostle Iren's own social media post, cited by other outlets, said the school began with about 80 students. The lower figure is used here because it is the enrolment count reported by the press; the higher one may include children registered after opening day. At the launch the church said it hoped to grow Propella to 50 free schools across Nigeria as part of a wider community outreach plan. That is a stated goal, not an achieved result, and no further campuses had been confirmed in the sources reviewed. Note that CCI here means Celebration Church International, which is a different church from the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).
